Join the Sacconi Quartet and the newly formed Sacconi String Orchestra as they peform a fantastic concert at the Royal College of Music ahead of the Sacconi Chamber Music Festival in May. At 7.30pm on Tuesday 17th April the string orchestra, formed of RCM students by the Sacconi, will give their inaugural concert in the RCM's Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall. The programme will contain two greats of the string orchestra repertoire by Tchaikovsky (Souvenir de Florence) and Grieg (Holberg Suite) as well as Mozart's popular String Quintet in G minor. This is a concert not to be missed!

This concert looks ahead to the Sacconi Chamber Music Festival in Folkestone which takes place over the weekend of 18th-20th May 2012. On 19th May the Sacconi String Orchestra will once more perform the Grieg and the Tchaikovsky works for string orchestra, alongside Mozart's Piano Concerto in A major, K414 with masterful pianist Tom Poster.
